World in Flames - Map Pack Question

Post by Darthrafael »

Hello!

So, I've been wanting to buy the Map Pack for a while now, and with the 80% discount, it's suddenly become a lot more affordable to me. However, I do have a question; what all is included with the purchase? The store page is a bit unclear in that it mentions that it's for 'PC', yet it's also clearly a physical map, and in cart it says 'Digital + Physical'. Does this mean that you also get image files to print it on your own? Or what exactly will I get when I buy it?

The description says this: This is the accessory map pack of World in Flames game, which can be purchased separately from World in Flames. Players for the first time can get an entire new set of full color WiF maps! The maps are identical to the in-game maps in look and match the hex scale of the board game maps so that they are entirely playable on the table top.

You buy the game separately from the maps. Originally you could buy the game as a physical version and it came with three hard cover rules and reference books along with the install CD. I don't think it is available that way any longer - it only comes as a download.

Meanwhile, as a separate purchase the map pack is only physical and there will be shipping charges in addition to the cost quoted.

If you could use the maps to set up a game they would cover an area of about 9 feet by 27 feet.

Yes, Darthrafael , the price is the same for two products:

- The megamap

. The game itself, which is where you have options for Digital/Physical. Maybe now only digital.

If you had somewhere to set up the maps, you could do that.

The maps have changed between RAW7 WiF (which MWiF is based on) and the current Collectors edition which comes with mounted maps, using 3 different scales, whereas these maps are of the whole world done at the European scale. There would be some differences in the Europe map, notably Belgium-Netherlands borders and also northern Russia before the Urals.
