US Lend Lease to the USSR. 4.3.0 (Debug).

Post by rkr1958 »

For the following issue I really don't expect it to be addressed (i.e., fixed). However; I do wish confirmation (or not) from folks on that I'm correct wrt/my understanding of the issue.

1. The situation is that the USSR and Germany are NOT at war with each other, Norway, Finland and Sweden are neutral.
2. The US is at war with the axis (i.e., Germany, Italy & Japan).
3. The USSR is at war with Japan but not Germany or Italy.
4. The US is giving 1 BP and 1 RP (the max apparently) to the USSR.
5. The US wishes this "Lend Lease" to be shipped through the Arctic.
6. Note that the BP does indeed travel through the Arctic and makes use of Scandinavian neutrality to get the Soviet Union.
7. However; the non-oil RP wishes to ship through the Middle East and is really screwing up allied convoy lines.
8. Is there any reason why this RP should take a similar route at the BP to reach the Soviet Union?

You can change the route of the resource send to the USSR, so it goes to Murmansk...

No reason although there is a combined limit as to how many resources/BPs can be received at a minor port, if it happens the major ports are iced-in.

Interesting. I've attached the game file. If you have time I'd much appreciate it if you showed me how to do this. Thanks.

I tried to load you gamesave, however, MWIF refuses to open it. The Command form comes up totally blank. I can't press any button. I've never seen this happening before.

How to set a route for a resource or build point is pretty straight forward.

First: press the route button
Second: select the line you want to force a route to. In this case you press trade and select the country where you want the resource/build point to go.
Third: press recompute
Fourth: again select that line. The convoy route is shown. Right click on the first line you want to change. Than left click on the correct sea area you want to use. Left click on the next one you want to use. The moment you reach the last sea area the resource/build point needs to use you double left click on it.
Fifth: press recompute

And everything should be OK. But: check first if you've got unused convoy points in the sea area's you want to change. If they are not available, make sure you first get unused convoy points in the sea area's you need to change.
