Good game! But...

Post by SteveD64 »

I just downloaded this game and got my a** kicked the first time through. The second time through I was winning but then something strange happened...

The AI retook CA Gaul from me
I play Gallic revolts
The AI then moves in to retake the revolting cities with Fabius
It attacks Gracchus, who was in one of the cities
So the combat was Rome vs Rome with me playing Gracchus
Then the game crashed
There was no saved game

Also, full disclosure- I was not playing with the update, which I just now saw. And an HP update popped up during the game which may have crashed the game.

Wow! That is both annoying and hilarious. Should that be [:@] or [:D]?

Well, obviously there is an error in how the effects of the Gallic Revolt card are handled.

This is a bug and didn't have anything to do with your HP popup. At least, it doesn't appear that way to me.

I am planning to post a beta patch on Wednesday the 20th or Thursday the 21st. This condition should be corrected in that patch. Of course this next patch will be a beta but I hope to issue the final "official" patch to 1.0.2 as soon as I can.

Thanks for reporting this error so clearly. I am sorry that you were inconvenienced. It should not be hard to correct.

If you have a saved game from some time before your played the Gallic Insurrection card, you should be able to resume this game (after I issue the beta patch this week). Otherwise, it's probably corrupted because you seem to have a Roman general in a city that is incorrectly marked as controlled by Carthage.
