Slowing the Replay down

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Slowing the Replay down

Post by kfmiller41 »

Please tell me there is some way to slow down the replay so I can figure out who is moving where. It is so fast it isnt even worth watching. As someone new to this game it would seem there should be some setting to slow down replay speeds. I am having enough trouble figuring out what is going on as it is[&o]

I made the same comment years ago with respect to the original game. I don't think it was ever addressed. You do adjust to the speed over time.

i think, not sure cant remember, that in Forge of Freedom, you can set the speed of events....not too difficult to implant here.

I too would be interested to see the strategic replay screen slowed down. Never played CoG but did spend a little time with FoF - loved the battles but couldn't get on with the bigger picture, partly I think because I couldn't really see what was happening (other than after the event).

I wouldn't mind giving CoGEE a try but am a bit put off with having the same experience with FoF, as far as the replay goes.
Cheers

There's an option in the detailed battle engine to set the animation delay. It works very well at slowing things down there. (I moved mine from 3 to 6.)

I don't think there's anything similar at the strategic level yet.
