Possible issue?

Post by WYBaugh »

Hi,

If I hover the mouse over a unit and right click I receive the informational popup box and everything functions correctly. If I left click on the unit and move it everything functions correctly. if I left click on the unit then right click, the game effectively freezes. I can click around on the bottom menu area of the game but cannot move/deselect the unit nor scroll the map. Also when doing this the flags immediately stop fluttering on the map.

Am I activating a mode that I cannot find in the manual or is this a bug?

Strange. I take it this is on the strategic map? Have you tried the spacebar?

I tried to duplicate this and could not. Does this happen with a specific type of unit (like a depot or cavalry or a Diplomat or Army or Corps container flag), or does it happen with any unit?

as posted, I can't get it to do what is said

Question, if you are talking about containers, do you have Auto close click at the bottom of the pop up ?

if that is not clicked, the pop up will stay in place, and I see that the flags on the map stop waving ???

Thanks to everyone for quick responses.

I had been playing Battlefield 2 prior to starting CoGEE and I think that was causing the problem.  This morning on a fresh reboot I can't reproduce the issue either.

Sorry for the false alarm!

That would be it. I've found that if I use my 1GB laptop for other memory-intensive programs it's best to do a reboot to play COG:EE at optimal performance. Somehow, shutting down the other programs doesn't fully free up all the memory they were using.
