AAR from Work
bring my laptop to work every now and then, and do some testings and what nots
got a chance to start up a game, and during one of the early battles, liked how the battle was starting out, so when I got home, I moved the battle over to my home puter and went at it
set up, I am France, 1972, Acc Ecc, 23 year, and highest glory
gave England, Russia and Ossites 1000 glory points, gave Prussia, Turkey and Sweden +1, +2, +3 power (I was thinking Spain would be a Ally, so didn't give them anything, but that is in the later campaigns)
my opening moves were to set my provinces up, move my fleets and Merchants since I not at war with England yet, and move into the Flanders area (Ossites protectorates)
then, while noticing that I am at peace with England and how nice it would be to have trade routes in a game, I try to make a lasting peace with the English, offer them a very long one sided peace deal, if you declare war on my enemies of a short time, and become my Ally(enforced)
2nd turn, I take Lux, but fail for Flanders, I see a Prussian Army moving, and expect they will show up in Flanders, not seen the Ossites, so leave my forces in Lux and get ready for Flanders (if need be, I can call for help, if not I should be in place if the Ossites show up)
the Prussians show up, and ooops, 78,000 to my 28,000, HELP

RE: AAR from Work
7 turns until my reinforcements show up, I got what looks like a nice area to defend, and set up, my units are around 5000 in size, the Prussians have a number of 10,000 size units, oh oh, even more, they got 2 guns with them
this is going to be messy
opening shot is just after night fall of the first day, my beginning troops pretty much are all shot up and routed away, most have reformed, but, pretty much are worthless for the rest of the battle, and are defending the VH's as a just in case
pretty much, this all the French have, think there is a 3 unit Corps over on the mid Ossite path, and that is it !!!

RE: AAR from Work
morning and things are looking much better, I see 9 of his units, and I got him flanked, my night march, in the south, caught him, now if I can get across the river, with out that gun doing too much damage
at this point the battle is all but over in my mind, so the thing now, is what is the goal, so, the goal is to take at least one of his guns away from him, and hammer him HARD

RE: AAR from Work
okay, we spot 13 of his troops now, and he is hurting, he just don't know it yet
took longer to cross the river/creek then I had hoped, the south Gun is Disordered, but held long enough, that I had to kill most of the gunners, think that one is going to get away
my Horse Guns are in a good spot, the rest of the line is there to pound away, I squared up, the Prussian Inf at the top, then moved away, when I did, it spotted all those troops on the heights, good thing I pulled back

bloody battle, more lopsided then How I seen it going, but think most of my losses were from the early first day, once I got the reinforcements in and the flanking march, it was a route

RE: AAR from Work
now I see the Ossites moving in, try to set up a block where I think they may come in, my other Corps is pretty shot apart, so shall remain on rest and relax
the English coming in, has the Prussians schooting for home
had a good set up, the kind I like, the enemy can't get to me, but I can work over each one as they try, pretty much have shattered the first Army to join the battle, but the Ossites had called for help, and they are pretty stubborn, I am slaughtering them
