Fan Web Sites?

I have created fan sites for several other Civil War series in the past (the Harpers Ferry Arsenal for MadMinute Games' series and the ACW Campaign Games Design Center for the HPS series) and I was thinking of doing a site for Forge of Freedom as well. Is anyone else thinking of creating a fan site? If not, I'll probably go ahead and make one over the next few days.

I also want to direct a question to the Matrix and Western Civ folks. Do you have any rules about the hosting of mods at fan sites? Do you have any other info that you think I should know before creating a fan site?

Many games offer 'fansite kits' to help people out w/ some of the graphics and content. We don't have anything like that immediately on-hand, but I'll send you my email (via matrix private msg) and we can talk about what kinds of things you might find helpful (toolbars, textures and stuff like that).

I'm shocked at the lack of any fansites for FoF, at least as far as I can see.

Does anyone know of any?  Neither do I see much available in the way of mods, even simple graphics or the like.

Personally, my experience has been that the Matrix game crowd - with the exception of the SPWaW series - has been a fairly poor supporter of modifications and enhancements. I think guys just play the games for awhile and then they pretty much move on to other things, instead of tweaking and making options, bringing the game out to everything it actually can be.

In reality, it doesn't bode well for the life and legacy of a game, making them all the more mortal.
