Battleground Update A suggestion

If the Battleground series is to be updated please check out this site

I have played several of these games and they are excellent, especially Leipzig. I feel a lot of the work here would be worthwhile adding to this series. These guys have done an excellent job.

Definately and even though they are "free" I'd be more than happy to pay to get them so that they are not so fiddly to install. I actually did pay the guy for a couple of disks but what I got for vollume vs price was not a really great deal. And he was WAAAAAY slow! But niether did I feel ripped off.

Any Chance we might see the Battleground series cover some other very interesting time periods ? ..

I thought it might be nice for gamers to have a chance to see Polish Winged Hussars mixing it up with Ottoman Janissaries !

With some minor tweaking and enhancements this battleground game engine could take us to a number of time periods and wars.

1. The entire Renaissance period. In particular the time frames where the Ottomans were on their rise to power over a vast areas of land that involved so many different countries. On to their eventual fall from dominance.

2. The Russo - Turkish war 1877

3. The Jacobite Rebellions 1689 - 1745

4. Battles that had the Ottoman Empires forces involved during the Napoleonic era. To include Napoleons Egyptian campaigns.

5. Mughul India 1600's thru 1700's

6. Fuedal Japan 1600's thru 1700's

It would all take some time and devoted work. But the possibilies are really almost limitless I think !! .... And of course it would need to be done in such an attractive way that players would have no choice but to want to check it out !
