Thanks for all the great information on Windows 11 and keeping the Campaign Series alive! I got a new computer with windows 11 about a month ago and couldn't get Campaign Series to work. I followed your instructions on installing the old C++ compiler and changing the compatibility to XP and running as Admin. That got the game to run, but I was getting the white screen as discussed above.

I updated both the native Intel graphics driver and also the driver for my NVIDIA graphics card and now everything works great. It's a good day when I have my campaign series back! East Front, West Front, and Rising Sun all appear to be working great.

For what it's worth, I didn't have to tell the computer to run Campaign Series using the native graphics. Either Windows is doing it automatically or NVIDIA fixed whatever was wrong with their previous driver.

For people who are not computer experts (like myself), you need to actually go to the Intel and NVIDIA websites to download the latest drivers. Dell/Microsoft will tell you that you have the most up-to-date drivers when you don't. I don't think they care as long as the drivers are "good enough".

Yes, that's likely the case. If you aren't having an issue with the white screen, as the old saying goes - "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

If you are, then yes, definitely manually download the drivers and install them. Here is a reminder of the link in case it gets buried in the threads:

Intel pushed out another integrated graphics driver in the last couple of days ( gfx_win_101.6734.exe ). Unfortunately, the white screen is back. I haven't tried rolling back to gfx_win_101.6732.exe yet. Maybe there will be another update in a couple days.

Rolling back to the intel graphics driver gfx_win_101.6732 does solve the problem.

I don't know how but it really worked and now Rising Sun starts without problems (just like WF and EF)
