I was disappointed too. I was waiting all day for a turn that wouldn't ever show up. [:D]

Marc licked me good this turn. Everything he fired AT wise, he hit. I, however, couldn't hit crap.

I will do my portion and send to Marc.

Basically trying to manuever around that Tiger, get behind them, and knock them out. Proceed to victory locations. Chose new scenario, start new AAR, and walah..

In the above screenshot, I moved my T34 behind the Tiger up and to the left, brought in the remaining 8 T34s you see in the opening. Shot once, destroyed 2 Tigers. Then assaulted from the left and right, and wiped out the last Tiger. Praying I don't run in to any more. He ruined my day. Moved the KV up onto the hill, was shot at, but no effect. Shot back at the AT Gun, destroying two. T34 shot as well, no effect. He has infantry all dug in in all of he trees...going to be impossible to dislodge without artillery and more inf than I have.

Turn to Marc.

Bloody turn.

Ill post a pic at home.

Marc sent me the wrong file or something... he did mention me knocking out his Tigers. I hope he means Tigers as in his only Tigers. That would be wonderful.

Sorry for the slow pace.

Turn sent to Marc.

I have elimnated all AT guns that have fired the last few turns, I dont see any more on the map. I have only seen one more platoon of Panzer IV tanks....so I am going to be more aggressive and go for VP locations directly now as all he has left is infantry that is dug in well, but he can't mass them fast enough to assault the VP positions once I take them.

PRAYING he doesn't have anything laying in ambush for me. I do for him though... [:)]

3D view.

Marc did say on the phone tonight that he is nervous he can't do anything now...he didn't say one way or another when I asked him if he had tanks left. He said, I'll find out one way or another haha.

All the Tigers were knocked out? Damn. Must've been a blow for your opponent.

He never said one way or another. Doing so would reveal a lot of information in my opinion...I am still playing with caution, but I am being far more aggressive the closer we're getting to the end of the turns.

That platoon I knocked out only have three. Fairly easy to take on if you have a bunch of units.

Quantity has a quality all on its own. [:)]

Produced another turn for Marc. His turn was uneventful. His Panzer IVs showed up on the railroad cut...as expected. They fired once, I returned fire twice with my units I left in opp fire mode...he didn't do any damage. My first shot destroyed nothing. Second shot destroyed one, and he retreated...losing points to fire any more that turn. That is the beauty of of leavings units with enough AP to fire during your opponents turn. All of my tanks are like this unless there is NO WAY they can be fired upon during his turn. Inf still tying up his infantry in the forest, that could other wise be used to mass defend the victory locations. My T34s back around the main action fired and made infantry unit in the victory hext next to the RR retreat forward out into the open. My KV1 unit then moved in, and fired on the retreated Panzers from behind, destroying two and eliminating the unit. Seems pretty quit now, but I didn't take anymore victory hexes than that one. The T34s up north at the city discovered the artillery unit and it's carrier. Fired on the carrier once, and destroyed one. Didn't realize I could fire on the art unitl until later, but I want my tanks to have enough AP for Marc's turn. Still didn't move into the city hex..as these are only one tank platoon units..not two or three...they can easily be destroyed. Probably going to take the city on the last turn or so, so I don't have to hold out a lot in case he has reinforcements from the north or anything.

Took two screenshots, and saved them to edit and upload tonight. Progressing nicely. Currently at a "draw" according to victory if the scenario were to end today. I would be curious to see how this turned out in real life.. I am guessing the Russians steamrolled this delaying action by the Germans...but that is purely a guess.

Our WiTP AE PBEM is going along nicely too.

The main action...as you can see the only threat that I can see currently to my tanks would be direct assaults from his infantry...every once in a while, with armor facing effects, you can fire on a tank from behind, and knock it out...especially if it is in the open.

Sorry for the lull...

I just sent Marc the last turn...I own all of the victory hexes, and I have been shooting at all of his infantry units to try and distrupt them so they will not be allowed to assault. Numerous inf units can easily overtake a tank. I ran into his Tigers east of the city. My ambush didn't work... he went through my T34s like they were nothing. I still think the city will hold out. I might lose one VP hex, as he is assaulting with engineers, a leader, and inf unit against a unit of T34s...

That should wrap it up. Most likely a Major Victory for the Allies according to the victory details.

All she wrote. I really started rolling once I got my tanks out into the open and began assaulting positions. That has to be a pretty hard scenario for the Germans.

Many Soviet tanks vs not very many German tanks and AT guns..

Well played Marc. He made me nervous when his tanks showed up and I made the poor initial moves misjudging the number of turns by 2x too many.

On to our Rising Sun scenario - Burma Railway with me as the British. He has sent me the firs turn.

Marc is free to read this as I will read his I am guessing.

Thank you sir. Marc and I planned to always have a CS game going between us, however he no longer has access to the internet at the moment, so our game "Burma Railway" is on hold after the initial turn.
