AI prioritisation of victory hexes

Post by fentum »

I played a cracking game of The Partisan Defence. I had written a full AAR but lost my connection after an hour's typing.

Lots of ebb and flow with smart play from the AI Russian.

The one strange thing was in the final turn. I held all victory hexes but had used all my guys. The Russians could have waltzed a squad or two back into a couple of hexes, but didn't. Why would they not do that? It wasn't as though my guys could shoot, and in fact one hex was completely out of sight of all of my squads.

Other that that funny one, the game was excellent. A proper street fight.

PS sorry about the smiley face, I have no idea how to remove it!

Ok so now I am worried.

I played 'Hello, how are you?' And had a cracking game once again. BUT the same thing happened at the last couple of turns. I held all Victory hexes and the Russians just stayed put. This is a worry in terms of AI ability.

Would you be so kind as to go into the /saves/impulses directory and email me one of the saves from Hello How Are You about 2 turns from the end of the game or so? Email is tomp@matrixgames.com Thanks!

I checked my save files and strangely enough I can't see 'Hello, how are you?' Sorry.
