SPOILER ALERT

Played though this as German. Did well with the first wave. But now but then an artillery barrage came and knocked out 2 Stugs.

Ammo for the Ferdinands ran low and I was reduced to firing HE at the second wave. It's turn 33 and I'm still holding the town, but not sure that can last. Germ victory at the 70% level while Soviet at 20% But that will change before long

It will be interesting to see how this plays as the Soviet.

Actually: just finished on turn 37. I did keep the victory, though I had a regiment of T34s approaching the village and not much ammo left.

The lesson for that scenario is ammo management. I usally have the Germans defend>hold fire>'good shot' so as not to waste ammo on long range shots.

That's exactly right. I should have realized that sooner. Those Ferdinands really took a beating but the most damage they sustained was track damage.

Speaking of which, That might be the way to test the issue with grass. if it's giving hull down protection, then we shouldn't see any track damage for higher grass?

Thanks

Tthat would work. In fact I could make a test tank xml that had track at locations 1-5 and place it in tall grass and see it any track hits happen.

Downloaded and installed but now the game crashes anytime I try to play it. Any ideas on what I did wrong?

I uses the Ferdinand and tank update data. So load that update first.
That updates the StuG III F super high poly mod. So load that first.

Otherwise look at the log. There might be some structure or unit that the map uses that is not in your Media folder.
Also try going into map scene edit and load the map. See if it loads.
