I downloaded the Russian Steel 1.5 Campaign. In the first scenario, you get 2 Aux KV-2s. On these two vehicles, in slot 3 is a "M-13 Rocket". No ammo loaded. They have a range of 224 and a PEN of 48. Must be a Lend-Lease refit? :D

Sounds like 'Russian Steel' hasn't been upgraded to work with the OOBs in H2H-fr.

Silencer wrote:I don't know he was actually being sarcastic Bernie. It's rare for a game to be released on schedule, and are often YEARS not just months overdue. How long were Command & Conquer fans made to wait for Tiberian Suns? That is a good example. Duke Nukem Forever I remember TV ads for several years ago, and it is still not completed. Doom fans were waiting patiently for Doom 3, and it's only now nearly completed. Return to Castle Wolfenstein was wanted since Doom was released, and this took another company doing the work to get it done.
If that's the case, that he was being sincere and not sarcastic, then he can break a board off my soapbox and paddle me with it. But I stand by what I said, to anyone else who may have a complaint about how long it takes for things like MC's and OOB's to be released.

I'm just glad development is being done, I personally couldn't give a **** about the release date. I've come across too many brilliant projects that were let down by developers who lost interest, or were scared away by idiots who have no idea what the trials of programming can be like.
Yes I am insane, I share my mind with a cat.
No I do not want to go to bed with you, so quit asking.
My idea of a relaxing morning is driving over my Fiancée's new boyfriend with an M1A2, but not because I'm jealous (it's because he's an absolute prick)

Concur with Silencer, oh, and K62 ;).

Taking even H2H to the next level? Oh... my... goodness!!!!

The concept of "making due" with H2H FR is mind-boggling. Like that is suffering? H2H is the chit, and there's an improvement?!!

Bless you, dev teams, both versions, one and all. :)

Ok... I am eternally grateful to all those people responsible of creating SPWAW and MC's, but that does not mean they shouldn't be criticised. Five months late is five months late is five months late and I'm not going to pass that by with just shrug of shoulders.

Now, it better be da*n good to make up the agony of waiting MUCH longer than expected.

Okay, okay...let's have a little self-control here! :D

Sheesh! I didn't say it was a total merging of 7.1 and H2H, just that it's a blend of the two. No, it's not a total "rewrite" of the OOB's. Yes, H2H was looked at and learned from. Yes, from what I know, Panzer Leo had input into 8.0. Yes, many errors in 7.1 were fixed. Yes, there are new (and revised) units (mostly needed for MCSE). How good is it? You'll just have to wait and see. :)

My original reply was over 200 lines, would have stripped the fur off Charles 22's avatar (collateral damage) and ignited every Sherman in North America. One thing about spending time in the Navy, you learn some "colorful" phrases. (Mostly having to do with Marines...but they can be modified for any occasion.) :)

No, I would never find enough time for that.

So you are saying that one shouldn't complain if one doesn't contribute? Gee.. Amazing. No contribution, no complaints. All companies should adopt that kind of customer service policy. :D

Just what part of, "volunteers" and "not employed by Matrix" is it that you didn't understand?

but until Bernie gets the chance, I'll chime in. ;) ( in the end Bernie did beat me to the punch...lol)

Teräspantteri, it's not that you don't have the right to ask "where/when/why?" questions...it's the manner in which those questions are asked that can raise the ire of others.

Your statements come across as if you think that the guys at Matrix (which in this case you ae wrong...as the 8.0 version is being assembled as Bernie pointed out by mainly volunteers) were kicking back drinking beer and watching TV instead of creating the new version for you in a timely manner.

The delays involved were the product of many reasons...a lot due to data gathering and research...some to the intervention of everyday life issues such as work and family matters...and then there was the new Mega Campaign, which drew in a large number of the crew-members that were putting together the OoB's and which also meant additional delays since the OoB's were revamped yet again to assist in modelling the new MC itself.

So yes, there were delays...but I think they will all end up being worth the additional time. :)

Anyway, the short of it is if you walked a mile in some of these peoples shoes...I think you would be far more understanding and less critical of the delays. All the people involved try their best...and want to put forth something good...and sometimes things go like clock work...other times new issues arise and create unexpected last minute delays. That's life.

Good point K62!

His problem seems to be with the OOB's being "late" and they're free with the game so...

If he'd be kind enough to post his address I'm sure we could all take up a collection and send him back what he paid for it. :)

*Sighs and aims his 12 gauge at the whinger* You people make me sick, what exactly are you complaining about? Is 7.1 in anyway unplayable? Are the inaccuracies in the OOBs crippling? Are any of the additions that have been/will be included neccessary, not just "nice"?

The answer to all three is no, so sit down, shut up, double click on the SP:WaW 7.1 icon and play until 8.0 is ready to be released. If you don't have anything useful to say then don't say anything unless it includes the words please and thank you, and probably crawling on your belly begging for forgiveness.

Honestly, that sort of thing is uncalled for, and would be rude even if the team were full time developers not just volunteers. I don't cop that flak from my customers if I'm a little behind because of other issues so why should a team with other responsibilities?

You get what you pay for like it has been said and so far the only payment you've made has been negative comments (I looked back and saw what you meant guys sheesh), so I can see what you'll be getting for Christmas is a lump of coal.
