Can you stack units?

Post by sanderz »

Only it seems odd not to be able to have at least air units in the same hex, or why not a couple of divisions instead of a corps.

Its particularly annoying with Air Units as on a small island they can easily get attacked by assult and wiped out.

Or have i missed something (again)

thanks

Ja, I wish we could stack an air unit with any other air unit, but... not in game, not in TOW either and that is a great game.

If space is short then I suppose you build the units bigger rather than have more units. [:)]

It is curious you can't put an inf div and an air unit on a one hex island....such as Midway which of course did have both.

An air unit has some defensive abilities therefore it may perform as weak land unit (only in defense).

Yes, I'm a bit disappointed that at least one aircraft can't stack with an infantry or ground unit in a land hex. Especially on maps like Guadacanal and Henderson Air Field.

But there is a lot of space on Guadalcanal map so hopefully you can easily make it up.

Can you combine ground units in the game?  Would help with the stacking problem.

Can't combine units, but you can upgrade a division to a corps.

@jomni, this is a good idea to use combined units (infantry and armored) during multidirctional attack.

Thanks for the reply. Hope you implement combined arms and also organic combining and splitting of units... along with some for of stacking in the future.
