It would just be your scenario file (the one you have been running ).

Ah, OK that would be simple, I think - - Ah, found where Harpoon is putting my saved scenarios.

Here it is:file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/William/Desktop/T01B.BKa

The only points in the scenario are:
1) Will the northern recon Bear-D sight Surface Group AA00 and trigger a Backfire attack.
2) Will the southern Bear-D trigger a Backfire attack on Surface Group ABS, which begins outside the surface search radar of the southern Bear-D, when ABS moved into its radar range.

Under v2008.044:
The answer was yes, but only the first two Bear-Ds on patrol triggered attacks.  There were no followup attacks to finish the job (both surface groups had some ships survive the initial attacks) and no attacks based on radar sighting by follow on Bear-Ds replacing the initial aircraft on the patrol.

Under vHC2009.042inc.zip   HC2010.006GE.zip
The answer in no.  No radars and no attacks.

Hehe, that "link" is to your computer and no one has access to your computer. To 'share' a file, you have to zip it up and then post it to this sub-forum the same way I posted mine. fb.asp?m=2542739

However, it is all moot. You now see that with 2009.42, the radar never turns on. I only wanted to see your file to make sure that of this and your latest test run already confirms it.

Ah, obviously never done this before. :)

I guess I should move over to HarpGamer and comment there in hopes of them reversing the radar thing.

Thanks for the interest.

Even if there were subs around, why would you turn on ships' radar?  The airborne radar will give sufficient coverage, no?  I would think that the presence of AEW precludes any use of shipboard radar systems.

If you've got a reasonable airborne air search radar available, such as the one on a Hawkeye, then there's no reason to turn on the ship radars until the vampires are inbound. If your only airborne radars are surface search sets, however, it's not a bad idea to have one of the ships energize its air search radar to pick up the high altitude ASMs in time for your SAMs to matter, because a creeping nuke boat will usually hear a surface ship long before the ship hears the sub.
