Screenshots- 1964 Army vs Air Force

Post by Old Coach »

Here are some screenshots from a game in my 1964 College league between Army and Air Force. As you can see it was a tough game in the rain at West Point. Army won with an 18yd FG with 9 seconds left in the game. I'm using the unpacked version of Stadium 1 that comes with MaxFB. I have added some things to the stadium to include the large white building in the open end of the stadium, cheerleaders, coaches and a scoreboard in the open end.

Here are 4 more screenshots that show Army's tying TD and the successful FG with 9 seconds left. The last 2 pictures show Air Force's last gasp pass that almost clicked for a TD.

And finally, the game stats. It was definitely not a good day for throwing the football.

How did you get those old-style facemasks?

I did a lot of cuting/copying and pasting of the white facemasks that come with the game to make the type of facemasks I wanted for this era of football. I use Paint Shop Pro 4 for this. If you'd like, PM me your email address and I'll send you the facemask file use.

Hi Old Coach. I tried to PM you but got a message saying you weren't accepting PMs. I'd like to take you up on your offer. I really liked the football from the 1960's and have a couple of 1960's era leagues I am working on that really need the older style facemasks.

One is a fictional "post dissolution" AAFL and the other is loosely based on the Continental Football League. They are still in "development" and I am working on uniforms, but the teams as they stand now are:

AAFL

New York Yankees
Brooklyn Dodgers
Chicago Rockets
Los Angeles Dons
Dallas Texans
Cincinnati Reds
Detroit Tigers
Milwaukee Braves

CFL

New York Titans
Indianapolis Capitols
Minneapolis Lakers
San Antonio Ramblers
Oklahoma City Rustlers
Seattle Rangers
Tampa Bay Thunderbolts
Houston Aeros

with some possible additions. If I can figure out how to make screencaps I'll post some.

Argyle1968,
I don't know why you got the message that I wasn't taking PM's. I was wondering why I hadn't received a PM from you.
I'll check on that.
