Short of RAM for World at War

Post by hlamber »

I only have 479Meg of RAM for gary Grigsby's World at War. Ihe installation said I need 500Meg. The program halts after the initial videos. Is there any way to run the program in a configration where it will run without certain featrures like the video's etc?

Rename the video folder and it will skip all of the videos. I don't know if this will be enough for you, but it's worth a try. It may depend on how much memory you have in your video card. Also, be sure you have enough virtual RAM assigned (I think around 1500MB is good).
All understanding comes after the fact.

That happened to me, when I nstalled it in the laptop, I had something between 480 and 500 MB of RAM, can't recall exactly how much, but I was able to play fine. Version I sused in the laptop was 1.040 and I have not upgraded it, it has a 64MB videocard and a 1,6 Mhz processor.
