Does the game get to the main menu? In other words, is this while loading the game or while loading a scenario for the first time?

Regards,

It can also be an issue of a not complete installation. Did you turn virus scanners and software firewalls off during installation, as recommended?

The error occurs when the game is initially loading, it does not get to the main menu.

I uninstalled the game, and rebooted the computer, shut down the virus scan and firewall, and reinstalled the game, then rebooted again.

The same error occured.

The file unitprod.bmp is present in the data area of the game, but will not load when attempting to start the game.

The game does not lock up, or crash the computer in the attempt to load, it just states the error message and aborts the game before it loads

Make sure that grpahic card, sound and chipset drivers are up to date.

If that does not help please provide us with a Directx dialog file (see sticky FAQ post in this subforum)

What is your virtual memory setting? You have a low end spec (memory wise, especially if it is a built in video chip) and the computer is failing to load all the required art.

Windows Me (4.90, Build 3000)

You run GGWAW on a not supported OS, in combination with the built in video chip (please note that GGWAW requires a video card) this might be the cause of the problem.

Please make sure to run latest drivers for the Intel(R) 82810 Graphics Controller and possibly make a motherboard chipset update.

Yes, and from what I see the Dxdiag says the graphics chipset only has 6.5 MB of memory which is way below the minimum requirement. The chipset is no longer supported by Intel which is probably further proof it is too low of a spec.

Yes I realized that after I ran the dxdiag, allways thought I had 64mb video....

Time for an upgrade, but I thought that ME was supported W2000 WME WXP?

Anyways that's all for now thanks for the help, will head off and read the manual until I have time to upgrade.
