Well its been awhile. Now that Franco v2.3 is finally out the door I'm now interested in getting this 4-player game going. Jan, I know you recently posted that your not accepting any new games at the moment, because your plate is very full. I assume your going to pass on this. Am I right?

a511 you out there man.

We need one more good player for sure, maybe more. Accepting applications[:)] just step up to the computer terminal and fill one out. It should only take 20 minutes[:D]

I definately want to play Japan this time, and a511 stated he wants Germany. So the UN and Soviets are open.

I'd prefer Franco obviously, since it takes care of both the Portuguese and Gibraltar problems[:)]

lebatron, thanks for giving me a chance to play this game. i have some questions and comments as follows:
1)will i need the other players email addresses to pass files and discuss strategy?if so please provide those for me.
2)are email communications allowed between players on the same side and if so is there a limit on that?
3)as the china/SU player it seems that gives me an unfair advantage(i thought usually the WA player takes the chinese)in that i will not have to put many men on their common borders because i know they will not attack each other.is that fair because even though they were sort of allies they did have to be wary of each other?
thanks stonewashedjackson

I would read Jan's FAQ on the ins and outs of PBEM. Its located in the 'top' thread. But here are some direct answers.

1. You will only need the email address of the person next in line to receive the save. In this case dobeln.
2. You are free to discuss strategy as much as you want with your partner, even your oppenents. But I would keep your discussions with Dobeln separate from those you may send a511 or I.
3. Its SOP for the Russian player to control the Chinese as well. Since they are part of the Allies China and Russia do not fight. It's best this way because the WA's player has so much to cover it makes sense to remove some of the burden and place it on the Russian player. Keep in mind too its all part of Asia so it also makes sense to put that all under the domain of the Russain player. When you play the Chinese your single goal is to hold off the Japs. So its pointless to defend your rear from the Russians as they are not the enemy. Some pointers on playing China. First, you will want to protect your factories from strategic bombing. Since you only produce once every 3 turns losing 1 or 2 can really slow you down. Second, build Flak. Third, since strategic bombing can eat up your supply quickly from all your repairing your going to need a little from Russia if you get to low. Here's how you transfer supply under advanced supply if you didn't know already. First, get some supply say 5 to 10 into Eastern Kazak, then on the next turn you can move them into China. Once inside china they imediately turn Chinese. Thats it in a nutshell.
4. Once you are done with your turn you send that on to dobeln. Here I refer you to Jan's FAQ. Please read it.
