More than one version?

Post by James Ward »

I saw this game for sale in Gamestop. I didn't see the Matrix logo on the box. Are there more than one version of the game? Does Matrix support all versions?
Thanks.

We do not support all versions, just the one that we released. As far as I know, there is no difference in the actual game between what you can buy at retail and what you purchase through us. The actual game files are exactly the same. TriSynergy did the retail release for this title and we won the rights for the North American Online release, so we support our release, TriSynergy supports their release, etc., but it's the same game.

Do your patches work on the retail version?

I doubt that, "we do not support other versions" means that they didn't create the patch for any other version of the game. You can probably use it but only on your own risk.

Crap.

It is only $20 but on the Tri-whatever web site there is no patch listed!
