CDT all over the place

Post by killkess »

hi guys...

These are real show-stoppers. Right at the moment i cant play longer than 15-20 mins without a CTD.

For example I often get CTDs when trying to use the exit order, moving the wrong units and so on.

Right now i judge this game to be unplayable for me.

I have requested a Beta patch as I too am having these issues. What I have found is that if you run the game on slower speeds it tends to run longer before CTDs occur.

Please get this patch out as I agree this game is unplayable without significant frustration. I hate to say this, but this is not the level of quality I expected for this game at this price point. I'm very disappointed, especially in the amount of time it has taken to resolve these significant issues.

Me too. I'm holding off playing until a patch because I hate getting 50-75% into a scenario and then dropping out.

Can you folks who are experiencing crashes please post what operating systems you are using, and any other pertinent information like 3rd party software that may be resident?

FYI I have just started uploading a new BFTB Build 4.1.231 for our beta testers to work over. If all goes OK this will become the patch 1. This fixes all known CTDs and data content errors reported to date plus it fixes the cribbing Player Attack bug. Other issues will be rolled over for patch 2.

Just what you listed is what we are looking for, thanks.

I don't know if this will help but I want to try. I have much sympathies for those unable to play due to CTDs.

So, I'll post up the system I'm running on ... and I have not had any CTDs so far after 30+ hours of play (real time hours):

Dell OptiPlex GX620
XP Pro SP-3
Pentium (R) D CPU 3.20 GHz
3.19 GHz 2.00 G Ram
(very bare bones software install ... and not hooked to the internet ... so I have no other software that would conflict I'm assuming)

Maybe knowing what does work can help figuring out what's not working. Good luck to all.

First week (first 20+ hours) no CTD's at all. Last week it started and now I have a CTD almost every time I game after 15 - 20 minutes. Most of them when I select two or more units to combine in a new TF/Kampfgrüppe.

My system: Toshiba Sattelite P-300 24T IntelCore Duo P7450 @ 2.13 Ghz, 4 Gb RAM, ATI mobility Radeon HD 4650 Mcafee AV.

Thanks for the replies here guys. FYI the latest beta build has not produced an assert in a couple of days of testing. So it's looking good. If this keeps up by Friday we'll do a release build for the patch.
