victory levels

Is a major victory level possible on all scenarios?I finished tutorial 1 with major victory, currently trying to acheive major victory on Sarantaporon: Tac Ex - Bde Day Attack, but always get decisive or minor victory. Are there some scenario's where major victory is not possible?

Decisive>>Major>>Minor, so it should be possible to accomplish a major victory on most scenarios, especially if both have a fairly high kill proportion, or rewards for holding objectives over the course of the scenario.

If the AI/Player victory conditions are trivial (hold/deny objective) and mutually exclusive, then there may be little margin for obtaining the intermediate results.

What I mean is the tutorial scenario,it seems almost impossible as Axis to get a major victory and the Sarantaporon: Tac Ex - Bde Day ,is it possible as Allies to take the road hill by day 1 0800?Have you done it?

bairdlander,

The tutorial is designed to favour the Allies and yes it is possible to take the road hill by day 1 0800.

Thanks,my goal here is to acheive a major victory on each scenario before I go to the next one.Just wondered if some scenario's there is no "major victory" only "minor" or "decisive".I'll try again.

Hmm, I could have sworn I saw mention of major victory levels? Checking the reference manual though it states the relationship is:

If neither side has an advantage, then you have a draw. (+/-15 victory pts)
A minor advantage to one side or the other results in a minor victory or minor defeat. (+50 to +15, -15 to -50)
If your opponent is frustrated in his victory conditions, and you either destroy his forces, accomplish all you own goals etc, then this is the highest attainable level - a decisive victory (or if done unto, a decisive defeat). (+100 to +51, -51 to -100)

Check your margin of victory from the AAR screen - subtract your opponent's score from your own to see the raw score value.
