Repair bays

Whenever I use a repair bay, after the time limit, my pilot has to make a repair check. This seems silly to me; I thought the purpose of the repair bay was to get it fixed by others. Is this a bug, or am I misinterpretting how repair bays work?

You are misinterpreting. The repair bay is a BIG superior external D.C.S which has to supervised by the jock. It will give him +100 to his skill check and is much faster than ordinary damage controls. The repair bay is NOT full of mechanics doing the job.

This shouldn't have been posted to the bugs section obviously. Questions should be checked first in the main forum, then posted to the bugs tracker if that's the case.
