Aircraft.

Rule the Waves III is a simulation of naval ship design and construction, fleet management and naval warfare from 1890 to 1970. and will place you in the role of 'Grand Admiral' of a navy from the time when steam and iron dominated warship design up to the missile age.

I'm trying to decide whether to purchase or not. The aviation part is not what interests me. I know there is a Slow aircraft development button but eventually they will be in the game. Reading the manual, I see that there is an Auto select strike button. Does that work sufficiently? If I used this button then it looks like CAP is the only thing I'd have to manually select.

I'll have a mod up pretty soon that disables aircraft entirely (not my personal preference but I was able to make one for the last game as well due to high demand). Now I just need to figure out whether to disable missiles as well.

How about three different options? Disable aircraft and missiles, disable aircraft (only), and disable missiles (only).

I had some other ones too, so this may end up being a large number of switches
For RTW2 I had
1. Weaker Aircraft(no Aerial Torpedoes, AP Bombs, or bombentorpedo, which was the easiest way to reduce their impact)
2. No wheeled aircraft(Only floatplanes, flying boats, and zeppelins), which was quite fun
3. No Aircraft
4. Delayed Aerial torpedoes(So 1920s is BB only)


I'm thinking as separate options
1. Disable wheeled aircraft
1a. Disable all aircraft
2. Disable all missiles
3. Weaker aircraft(No Aerial Torpedoes, AP Bombs, Bombentorpedo, or Aerial Missiles)
4. Delayed Missiles(Moves all missiles back a bit(~7 years) to historical introduction, so early 50s SAMs/SSMs)
5. Delayed Aerial Torpedoes
