Talent progression over time...

Post by craterus »

first post - looking forward to see how this game turns out...

One of the things I have always wanted to do is create a league that starts in the 40's or 50's with a low overall talent average (on a 0-100 - average 30) then for each decade have the overall average of new recruits go up by 5 (or 1 every two years). With a talent bell curve that would still allow the rare high rated player.

Example: 1940's league starts with an overall talent average of 30, in 10 years the overall talent of drafted players is 35... in 20 years it is 40, by the 70's it is 45... when you hit the year 2000 each draft would have a random average between 40-60.

Any chance of anything like that being programmable into the game?
