R3 Development Update

Post by David Winter »

Hi All,

People are probably wondering what the heck is taking so long so I thought I'd take a few minutes out of the dev time and post an update as to what's going on.

PDS2.0 is currently in Alpha. All the planned features are in place. The beta group should be getting their next build in the next 48 hours or so.

Some of the other changes that are currently in development and are not yet at the alpha state are;

- A rewrite of the defensive presnap system. Players breaking the huddle on defense in a more intelligent fashion.
- Improved [Read] and [KeyOn] functionality to keep the sweep plays under control.
- Continued work on league specific minor rules. For example implementation of league specific rules for kick offs. These are, for now, attached to the field type you select.
- Ability to set the number of rounds in the league draft (or set it to no draft)
- Revamped depth chart system.
- The addition of new stats categories. Among other stat items, there is now a specific category for sacks.
- A range of general game play improvements and obviously bug fixes too.

And a couple of other things that I'm keeping under my hat for the time being.

Anyway, this is just so people will hopefully understand the delay in my responses on the message boards (hard to design features, code them, and answer questions, all at the same time), as well the longer than normal interval between R2 and R3. hmm I should have named this 2nd Development and I could have called this Release 2 - Development 2 or R2-D2 LOL.. okay.. that was a stretch.. anyway....

Thanks again for everyones continued support.

The only major feature that would be 'seen' in a screen capture would be PDS2.0. And those are displayed in another thread. The PDS2.0 hasn't really changed much (from a screen shot point of view) from when those were taken.

Thanks for the update David. Look forward to the release of the next Patch, whenever that may be. [:)]

Glad to hear that Draft Rounds (and the Draft itself) is optional as I was thinking about making a Utility to bypass the Draft. Guess I don't need to do that now.

Thank you very much David!!!!!!!

You and Matrix have done a great job in making the updates and fixes so quickly. It also refreshing to see a developer that is so responsive to what his customers want.

GREAT JOB!!!!!!!
