I just finished this one, and I achieved a Decisive Victory -- but I doubt I would have without the excellent and detailed advice in the tutorial manual. I really learned a lot playing this one thru with the manual.
It is going to be a though fight. Looking forward for the next installment.
A comment on your pic of the situation D1 0830 (13.jpg): look at the germans advancing in parallel routes, what a frightening sight!
I haven't seen that when I played that scenario. The only thing I recall is a heavy German column 2km northwest on Anthili, racing southbound in the road that is just west of that town. I lost my nerves and ordered a heavy arty barrage on that column that stoped it cold on its tracks. The germans seemed to re-plan the task for that column I stoped, and they directed it against Komma along with other columns. The pressure on the overwhelmed Aussies at Komma was so bad that I ordered the troops at Anthili to move north to threaten the left flank of the germans attacking Komma. This last decision was a miserable stunt from my command. But it was a hell of a gaming moment.
