Getting japanese sub to replace Glen..

I can't seem to get some of my Japanese subs capable of carrying the Glen recon planes to replace the aircraft. I've tried several different ports (including tokyo) with plenty of aircraft available and plenty of supply and the pilot available. Is there some trick to this or is this a bug?
I haven't found Japanese subs to be of much value (other then training the allied navy in ASW warfare) other then the recon subs and for laying mines so I'd like to at least to keep the recon subs working.

check if your glenn unit have max unit size (in the upper left screen) 1 as it should be.

I have problems with that too. Several subs are unable to recive replacements because max unit size changed from 1 to zero. It's a bug.

I got several ac groups that 'downsized' from 27 to 8 ac [:(]
Also having problems giving reinforcements to s size 9 ac group on an escort carrier.
Can't get it ashore, and can't get replacements neither in port or in TF while in port.

This issue seems to have become more common after patching to V1.8+

I believe that 1.802 is supposed to have a fix for these types of problems. I am sure about the air units with one aircraft size. I am not completly sure about the other sized air units.

Roger. Glen based subs have a zero capacity in current patch. Note interestingly from my tests it only affects:
 
1.) subs in new scenario.
2.) newly built subs in current game.
 
Subs already active in current game whilst upgrading to current patch are fine[:)]

It's a bug!. From the 1.8.0.2 change list:

Item 21 - Correct processing for floatplane groups on submarines.

The routine that handles aircraft on ships first determines the type of ship. Different processing is used for Airgroups on carriers, Float Plane airgroups on BB, Cru, CS, AV, ML, and PG, and Airgroups on AK (as cargo). Submarines were not properly processed since V1.8.0.1. Added submarines to list of float plane ships.

cosidering half of my glen equipped subs is inactive from this bug and sits in rear ports ........

Of course as the Glen were never used for naval search like we all do, we can't really complain....
