Artillery TOT

Battlefront features the power of battalion-level combat in some of this period's most bloody and intense conflicts: Saipan, Market Garden, Novorossisk, and Gazala. Players will have realistic control over their soldiers, with a tactical scale just large enough to make a telling difference in the strategic picture.

Artillery TOT

Post by Capt Cliff »

Will this game allow for the USA to use time on target with it's artillery? That was one of the big advantages the US Army had over the Germans. They could call artillery in from evrywhere and time it to land at the same time! What about the VT fuse? Will that be in the game?

The direct answer to your question is YES, the game allows for differing effectiveness of indirect fire.

The game doesn't follow a time clock in the way, say, Battlefields will when its released. The game allows the scenario designer to establish artillery fire rules which simulate the effectiveness of TOT attacks (US able to do this, other countries not able to do it). Mechanics of VT fuze are more tactical than operational, so there won't be a specific graphic for VT fuze usage, a VT fuze firing battery or battalion will simply be more effective at causing casualties.
