Is Combat Animated at all?

Post by randell765 »

Frank or whoever can answer,

Is combat animated at all? Does it just show 2 sides firing at each other? Or is it automatic combat and you just see the results/statistics?

Also, when you enter combat, does it become tactical based? Squares and hexes? Sort of like Forge of freedom?

Thanks for the help,
hunting down a PS3 has dulled the pain of waiting for this game, actually I lied, I don't have the patience to hunt down a PS3, I'll wait until March or a lower price

I am not a beta tester and have no concrete information, but I can almost say that I would bet my life that there is no tactical combat resolution like in FOF and I am confident that there is no combat animation other than maybe a very basic type to represent combat in a certain hex on the strategic map. GOA will be much more akin to a board wargame on the computer, imo. Hopefully, we will have the game in our hands this month.
