A couple of questions

Hussar Games "For Liberty!" is a turn based game of the American Revolution and the Rakoczi Independence War. Command the armies of the newly born United States of America against Britain or the ill-equipped Hungarian rebels against mighty Austria. 1848 is a turn base game on the Hungarian rebellion against Austria in 1848-49.

A couple of questions

Post by jimwinsor »

1) Is there any way to tell what the other side's Zeal is currently at?

2) I notice that it is difficult to "trap" units on the strategic map; sometimes, when you have an army completely surrounded, and it retreats, it will simply displace one of the encircling units (and hence escape). One other time, however, I did manage to force an entire brigade to surrender this way. What's the trick, I wonder?

1. No, FOW is in effect and you never see enemy zeal.

2. Units surrender if after a battle they are low on morale/supply/readiness. Morale is the greatest deciding factor in this, so if morale is very low, then they will surrender even if supply and readiness are high.
