Japanese Aircraft Production

Is there anyway to create new aircraft squadrons from the number I have in the available pool. As 1 Sept 42 (Sern #15), I have over 1200 Zero's and 1100 Betty's but I need new units? What about converting other units to Zero Fighters (for example) that are not in their replacement line? Any suggestions, what am I missing.[&:]

First, stop building Zeros!!

Second, you get this option in RHSEOS - fighters often can cross the service lines - and in the case of the A6M2 it can.
This is deliberately not possible in WITP - service = nation - UNLESS a scenario is told to "cross the line" by an upgrade path (say of a unit - otherwise an aircraft).

One of six RHS scenarios.

RHS exists at three levels (only two from your point of view):

Level 5 uses Andrew Brown's Extended Map system

Level 6 uses a slightly revised version of that map system - with a ship track "around the back side of the world" from East to West

Level 7 is not yet issued - and will include Madagascar and many ship tracks - if we ever make it work!

Anyway - at all levels there are three basic scenarios

RHSCVO = Carrier Oriented = CHS or stock scenario 15 - with RHS art and additions/corrections

RHSBBO = Battleship Oriented = CVO with historical ship planning for both sides - more gunships - fewer carriers -
because reactions/lessons learned at Pearl Harbor or Coral Sea or Midway don't happen as fast (Shinano is always a battleship in this one, etc)

RHSEOS = Empire of the Sun = Japan enhansed scenario - read the thread about RHSEOS 2nd Edition changes.
More balanced, set up for AI as Japan so Allied players solitare get stronger opposition, and fun for JFBs.

RHSRAO = RHSCVO with active Russians.
RHSRPO = RHSBBO with passive Russians.
RHSPPO = RHSBBO with more political points for both sides.
