Its official... a new website dedicated to Starshatter mods and modding is in the works and should be up and running in 3-4 days.

All you commanders out there... inform the best modders extant to prepare their mods for inclusion on this new site.

Now we'll have a place to centralize our modding efforts to the benefit of all commanders that desire to get their butts kicked somewhere in a galaxy far, far away.

Details will be forthcoming. [:)]

Thanks.

I do what I can. I'm just one of several working on this...... I'm just the most visible. Character flaw I guess. [:D]

Defender: I'm not sure what type of ship this is. A Destroyer?

Since it has launch bays I'd say more a kind of small support carrier, depending on what fighters (if any) he can launch.

how about 2 or 3 full squadrons???? thats would be nice [;)]. But if its a support carrier, it should actually have LOTS of fighters huh?

maybe a heavy assault craft??

instead of being for fighters maybe it could be for drop ships carrying ground pounders and special ops.

sure the Navy has it's aircraft carriers, but there is also the support for Marine personnel as well.

affectionatly called 'Gator freighters'.

although it's not yet possible it would be cool if there was a way to do orbital bombardments and ground assault missions.

just another thought...

Ground Assaults! Somebody say ground assault? That's what this tough bugger was designed for.[:D]

And yes, ground assaults can be simulated.

there ya go, load up about a dozen or so of those bad boys into that thick skinned carrier...

add a few F/A craft, the kind that can carry lots of air to air packages for local defense, and the heavy bunker busters for the occasional offensive ground assault support missions and bingo!

let em' hide in the rocks and tunnels...something like this could ferret out the best moles.

if ground assault is possible, then this could the baby to open the door to it.

Yup...We've talked it over today and decided on a deadline for release.March31 is when the mod "regarding whatever state of completion" ,will be made for download as a prelimenary release. This means that whatever We have..you will have.Hopefully we get help before that date so we can accomplish as mush as possible.Mission builders are wanted as well as anyone able to def ships.[8D]

I would be willing to try putting together a mission or two, but I would need the mod to do so. At least the design name as defined in the def.

Without it I could create missions using the stock SS designs and change names afterwards, but performance differences between stock and BSG ship could potentially create unfavorable mission results.

Just a thought...
