Scenario Creation... Be ready for this...

Post by JSS »

...SSG games are programmed to crash to desktop (CTD) if you have bogus/conflicting/missing entries for critical data areas. while frustrating at first, this is much better than having a fatal flaw in a scenario that doesn't show up until you're done with many, many hours of work... then you have to go back and try to figure out what of the many areas went wrong.

It also helps to identify the problem as you can follow the game action... I did this and BAM! ...program crashed. Helps to isolate what data you have problems with...

hmmm seems like a error report would be better but hey, what do I know?

Perhaps, but don't forget that we've been doing this for over two decades, and that we use exactly the same tools that we give you. We find that this works much better, as no system of error messages can be relied upon to accurately diagnose the problem (just ask the Windows OS programmers). Our way is simple and unambiguous.

Yeah, those of us that don't have 20 years of experience with the tools will just have to "suck it up" for a while.  Error messages are for babies...[8|]

Still, I sincerely appreciate the fact that they are willing to include the tools at all

It's always pilot error. Sometimes the idiot just doesn't know how to fly a broken aircraft.
