You've done (and are still doing) a bang up job on SPWAW, gotta love it! The one area of sim/game I've been watching for is WW2 naval combat. There have been a few poor and not very accurate sims for surface combat out there the best being fighting steel, but they all leave a lot to be desired. You look at an old dos program called Action Stations - lousy graphics, but the detail was fantastic. Someone needs to combine the two (hint, not too subtle hint).
The other area negleted recently is carrier warfare. There have been a few games in the past which did a fair job of simulating that but nothing recent. Carrier force needs a new breath of life.
Being x navy, I will always yearn for the sea, even as I drive tanks around SP.

SP:World at War is an overhaul of SP3 back to the original SP1 50m per hex/single vehicle squad unit scale.

We are about to release version 3 - check out the SP:WaW forum for details

Jeez, guys, I know (since I'm equally guilty of it ), that we expect more and more because you are giving us what we want. I posted about another subject elsewhere, and then I considered what you guys are doing for us. Well, I guess you know to expect a LOT of expectations (mine included). Wargamers are a finicky bunch, BUT we are also very loyal when it comes to consistent quality. I saw it with Avalon Hill back in the 60s, and I saw it with SPI for a brief time in the 70s. I'm STILL not an expert gamer, just a guy who loves military history and plays at being the general. You guys are keeping the tradition alive. Glenn.

WW 2 Naval combat is cool, but how about a WW 1, North Sea campaign, Germans vs the English, using the Dreadnoughts as they were built during the war, if you are going to dream?

Back when Dreadnoughts were king, no or few pesky airplanes around to muddle things? Yeah, wouldn't mind that either. Once you have the basic game mechanics down (gunnery, searching, weapons, ship systems, damage control, etc)plugging in different ships shouldn't be too hard. I'd be just about as thrilled with a WWI navy sim as WW2, though getting to see what those 18.1 inch monsters on Yamato could really do would rule (size matters, after all Image.

Paul,
Actually I was hoping for a SP3 rework. Things like bigger maps, more realistic objective placement, more units in campaigns(not as important) better AI. Things like that.
