All,
With the release of version 2.0, I seriously think we have a solid base to begin setting up for league play. I'm really pleased with the game and ready to committ to getting a league up and running.
Looking to see how much interest is there in a league of this type:
1. GM Mode league, meaning all games are played out as CPU -vs- CPU. Games would be broadcasted over the internet, so coaches can watch the action.
2. Only custom made teams and in game created players
3. American rules.
4. Looking at only doing a week's worth of games per a real life week. Giving time for coaches to work their game plans.
5. Playbooks would be custom created by the coaches, but not shared with other coaches.
6. League would start with a initial fantasy draft, with draft being conducted by setting up your in game draft profile.
7. All users would need to own the game in order to set up their depth charts and such thru the export/import function.
8. MSN messenger would be required as the game would be broadcasted thru the messenger.
Looking at initially for the first season of starting a 6 to 8 team league based off interest. Possibility of expansion beyond that. I will be setting up a php web site as soon as I see if there is enough interest for something like this.
If your interested in something like this, simply reply here and I'll get the ball rolling tomorrow.
Thanks for your time,
Chris

RE: NCFL
I would be interested. Im in two leagues now...a third wouldnt be a problem.
Be careful of the remote in/out feature. I tested it last night and it set the teams entire roster to injured, but players didnt show up anywhere.
It is on Davids list of fixes, so hopefully it will be working soon.

RE: NCFL
Thats a HUGE feature for online leagues. Imagine, 12 teams each with a custom playbook.
Each of the 12 playbooks has 10 different formations for JUST offense and defense.
Now, sit with a printout of 12 teams depth charts from emails and manually adjust each and every one.
ACK!

By the way, for some reason you cannot login to the website using IE. Atleast I couldn't. Firefox works fine with the site.

Opera browser works fine also.

You can view the page with IE, but can't login. I know firefox lets you login with no issues.

I'm trying to sign up on the forum so I can join the league but it will not send me a confirmation e-mail for my log in. Just put me down as wanting to join while I wait.
RE: NCFL

I was thinking of doing a league like this that required user submitted playbooks, but you beat me to it.
I may take an expansion team later...just don't have the time / computer power to finish developing my playbook.

Right now, I only have 2 owners (which includes myself). Maybe the idea was not that good.

You should make
custom playbooks optional atleast until more people start getting into the game

Sure! You can sign me up. I'll get my MSN Messenger set up through my MSN account for just such a thing.
