Newbie to ToaW

Post by scout1 »

Most games I can pick up the mechanics and nuiances rather quickly (not that I master them by any means) but ToaW appears to have great depth and many degrees of freedom. Looking for a site/files/discussion that starts at the 50k level relative to the basics, etc ....

Any help would be appreciated and I'm sure I'll be back with 1001 more questions ......

There's:

1) Here.
2) The Blitz. See http://www.theblitz.org/message_boards/ ... php?fid=15
3) Gamesquad has a TOAW section- http://www.gamesquad.com . Even a newbie tournament if you're interested (one player unmatched as of last look)- see http://www.gamesquad.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=224 .
4) Rugged Defence with a Scenario Depot too- http://www.the-strategist.net/RD/news.php .
5) With a designer slant there's also The Design Group- http://www.tdg.nu/

Most of these have sections with articles, tips etc...

Hope this helps.
