Hot Fix 1.70d released

Post by puresimmer »

Another very small hot fix addressing some recent issues reported by users.

Fix - Error 3031 when using a template association created with the intial release of PS 2007

Fix - Error when clicking on "View Today's Games" when using non US-English regional settings in Windows (Found on German version initially)

Fix - Error "Parameter Expected.." in the roster expansion phase when using non US-English regional settings in Windows (Found on German version initially)

Fix - Very rare "Permission Denied" after closing the Minor League roster management dialog. (I found one case where this happened so, hopefully this is the one that was reported by 2 or 3 of you guys)

Tweak - On the "Retirements" dialog, cleaned up how a retired player's stats are displayed. They are now displayed to the right of the player's name and a line is no longer being displayed under the player. This was causing some confusion as to who the stats info actually applied to.

New - Integrated error reporting and tracking. If there are any issues with the game, (compatibility, crash, conflict etc.) PureSim will now present the user with a dialog that will allow detailed error information to be submitted to the developer. This will lead to easier diagnosis of issues, especially environmental/OS related errors.

Download 1.70d Hot Fix (~3mb)

Note, if you are confused about what to download simply download the files in order as outlined in this thread.

I LOVE THE NEW STARTUP SCREEN!

You should use THAT as the Main screen for 2008. It looks VERY nice...

Well done, Shaun!

Hot Fix 1.70d error

Post by Frozen Stiffer »

I had been running v1.70b for a while now without any problems. However, I just got hit with a wicked nasty error when trying to play my first game since the installation of the v1.70d Hotfix. I've attached the screen print below and I emailed you the info the game asked me to. Hope that helps.

I exited the game, restarted and everything seems to be working fine.

CORRECTION: I'm getting that error each time I try to start a game. I need to hit IGNORE twice before it goes away, but it does go away and everything else seems to work fine. Any clues what's going on? It didn't happen until the move from v1.70b to v1.70d.

Did you install 1.70c or did you skip it ? I would think it needs to be installed before 1.70d

Nuke,

I confess that I skipped it. However, I was under the impression (one that just may be incorrect) that the hotfixes were cumulative. Was I wrong?

For the hotfixes I think you need to install them all since 1.70b is ALOT larger than 1.70c, and 1.70c is alot larger than 1.70d. However, I see above that Shaun says that 1.70, then 1.70b then 1.70d.....so maybe I am wrong. The size of the files tell me that you need them all though

All of a sudden I am getting a lot of errors with this version. I am emailing them as they occur. It seems that most of them can be bypassed with a couple clicks on Ignore, but I'm more concerned about possible corruption by doing this.
