Corrupted PSAs

Post by KG Erwin »

Since installing 1.70d, it seems that some (if not all) of my pre-existing PSAs have gotten corrupted (scrambled data, ratings all screwed up, etc).

How do I clear this up? I have no problem with deleting these, and starting from scratch. However, is there anything besides the PSAs and psx files that I should delete? Are there other "holding" files that need to be cleared out?

Whoa,

what do you mean corrupt? That is pretty serious. Could you send me a sample of a corrupt one?

Did this just start with 1.70d? What are the symptoms? Can you re-create it.

I didn't really make any sweeping changes, so I wonder what the deal is.

Also, I'd check your hard drive too. I can't imagine what change in the hot fix would be related to what you are describing.

Shaun, I exited out of the program and restarted it. I reloaded my 1941 association and everything seemed fine.

The mistake I made was looking over multiple associations in a single game session. I had one loaded, then returned to the home screen and loaded up a different one. As I've now learned, that's a no-no.

Sorry for crying wolf. It was a user error. Apologies.

Call me crazy...

...but that still shoudn't be happening. It's not like you're doing anything particularly disturbing. In fact, on each of the 3 PCs I have PS installed there are multiple associations. It would not be an unusual or unheard event for someone to try that. I haven't seen the error myself, but I honestly would not think of closing the program and re-starting it just to look at another association; I would go back to the Main screen and load the other association from there.

KG,

This may be a you-thing somewhere; I Quick-Loaded my Marlins_Replay association, then went to the Main screen and loaded the Avenge Buckner Association-- no problems. I then returned to Main and loaded the Marlins_Replay again; still no problems.

Your game is possessed....
