Noob question on custom missions

Post by CaptJimboJones »

OK, I've seen where you can download custom missions, but I haven't figured out how to install them in the game. I've tried putting the files in a folder in the game directory, but nothing shows up under the "custom missions" tab, and they don't seem to show up on the enable/disable mod screen as well.

Can anyone help me out with a quick walkthrough on this?

Are you downloading the straight .def file, or a .dat file? Each is different. It is also probably easier if you are running the game with the -filesys extension. Are you?

It's a .dat file. And no, I'm not running with the -filesys extension, I'll give that a try.

Salutations,

You should have a Mods folder in your games root directory.

Within that folder create a Missions folder. Place the custom mission .def(s) within this folder.

If the missions are already in .dat form... all you should have to do is enable the .dat from within the game. If you can't the .dat creator didn't do things correctly.
