I'm going to start another PBEM game this weekend. Can I assume that any further patches (in the near future) will only deal with the AI?
thanks for supporting this great game btw

I can't say for sure but I don't believe there will be any further changes to anything besides the AI. I am quite sure the data footprint of the scenarios won't have to be changed again.

Well there is a rather serious Railroad exploit giving the player unlimited Rail points which is still in Beta 9. Stumbled across the bug in Beta 7 when i noticed that i would sometimes have a few more Rail points to spent despite havening them used all up prior.
To reproduce it do the following:
1. Strat move an HQ (Rail points are deducted. Note since there are no Rail points available in Turn 1 it works only from Turn 2 one)
2. Cancel the Strat move (Rail points are added back to the pool)
3. Now move the same HQ per Foot (Naturally no Railpoints are decucted)
4. Cancel the move (1 Rail point is added to the pool)
5. Repeat 3-4 a few times, when it reaches ~50 points the Rail pool will jump to the 4 digit area (i had 6000+ points when i tested this in Beta 7, got 1961 points with my 2nd test in Beta 9)
Then again i do think it takes to long to rail Troops from the East Front to the West Front and likewise. It took me 1 1/2 half years to fully mobilize to the West Front in my last game after Russia had surrendered. Rail capacity isnt so much affected by the distance as by other logistical means (capacity, proper logistical planning). I think a fairer method would be to simply distinguish between short, medium and long (5, 10 and 10+ Hexes) distance travel. Germany could then move 10-12 corps from east to west per turn which is more appropriate than 3-4. OE could then be cut down to 6 and still move its 2 corps per turn (opposed to the current ~10 which seems too much compared to Germany and AH). Just my 2 cents. [:)]

Well I've never heard of that bug but it will certainly be squashed for 1.2 final. It won't affect the data footprint.

That deserves an award of somekind for just finding it.

Hello Frank,
did beta V9 also include the fixing of the CP Baltic shipping bug?
(in one PBEM game, Transports based in Wilhelmshaven (should be rather Kiel according to the map location, btw.) did not count for Shipping in the baltic to claim food & raw materials. They had to be based in Rostock to work)

i've downloaded the new patch twice and am getting the same errors when i start a non-1914 scenario. this happens when I hit the arrow to get out of mobilization phase.

AFAIK that's not a bug - it is a feature - ships cannot pass the straights of Denmark, so you have to rebase your transports.

This puppy is getting close. [:)] Started a solitaire game as the 3E and the AI actually started an offensive. Still not very intimidating, but at least it attacked. Like the India feature. A 'creeping' offensive up from Basra seems pretty historical. [:D]

The CP supply situation in my game seems very low. Germany is getting about 9 food per turn and Supplies in German controlled clear hexes are about 50%-55%, In rough and forest its in the 30s. Austra has 5 food per turn (so 2 short) and its supplies are about the same.
Is this correct? I have taken 3 Russian food hexes and their supply seems a little better than mine.

I'm currently testing beta 1.2 v7 and I had an issue recently where every single resource I had captured as the CP dissapeared. Was this a known issue and something addressed in v9?

Hanno,
That's not really a bug, just a design decision. Wilhelmshaven is considered to be on the North Sea with a special rule allowing rebasing through the Canal which avoids British forces in the North Sea.
Cleveland, my fault, I forgot to recompile those other scenarios before I uplaoded the beta.
esteban, that sounds right. Your hex supply level will fall being as you're short of supplies. I can't say for sure what the levels should be without seeing your national status screen though.
justaguy93, there's a chance resources can be "destroyed" if they're fought over or bombarded. For captured food hexes there's a 20% chance each turn it will become exhausted.

The number you got when you purchased the game.
Any relationship between what I say and reality is purely coincidental.
