question

Post by sooner7 »

I just started a new fictional league, and noticed something I hadn't seen before. I had a reliever come in in the bottom of the 10th with runners on 1st and 2nd. He promptly gave up the game winning hit (great move on my part). The problem was, they gave the loss to the pitcher who gave up the winning hit, and not to the pitcher who had allowed the first 2 hitters on base. Was this just a glitch, or do I have the scoring rules incorrect? Thanks

What was the score at the time your reliever came in?

The score was tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 10th, and there was 1 out at the time my reliever came in.  He retired the first man he faced, and then he gave up the game winning hit with 2 outs.
Thanks for any clarification.

By the way, I have read some of your stuff about fictional leagues, and went ahead and gave it a try.  Did the full 60 man roster so the minors are full.  So far, I am really enjoying it.
