Edit Region / Name

Post by Nukester »

In this section of the front office, if I edit the "region" from say "New York" to something like "Kansas City" will that team become more like a small market team ? Does editing the region do anything after the league is created ? If it does change, do you have to type it in exactly as the regions show in a league setup ? I dont remember exactly what they say, but its something like New York (NJ-CT)

Using a dropdown box with the available choices would work better here instead of typing it in.

What Id like to do is change the Highlanders/Yankees to a smaller region (its my team and I want to handicap myself alittle this way), so Im wondering if changing it there will do anything

Nukester, you waskly wabbit...

As far as I am aware, such changes AFTER the league is created will not affect the team's payroll or it's designation as a small, medium, or large market. If you want to shoot for the small market, I would suggest changing the name and then adjusting the team's payroll. This can be done from the Front Office, Edit Region/Finances button, then change the value in the third box from the top to whatever figure you wish; probably applicable to whatever size you would expect.

Thanks FS. I had already jacked my total finances down to the lowest in the league, but I wasnt sure if the game looked at something in the database to determine more money coming in for larger market teams. It still might do that (I have no idea) but I guess I can just keep myself in check with the total finances edits each season. Thanks a bunch [:)]
