Puresim future versions

Post by Jestre »

I was under the impression that Shaun had stopped working on Puresim some time ago. I hadnt checked this board for awhile but it looks like he is either back or never left. Is a new version of Puresim in the works and if so what can we look forward to??? Thanks!!!!

Shaun is indeed working on a new version, but there has been no indication of a release date yet.  I think we should turn this thread into pool to guess the actual release date.

I'll take 7/3/08  [:)]

Jestre,

Shaun had in fact decided to throw in the metaphorical towel. It was sad to see, but EVERYONE understood why; a man has his priorities.

However, a short while later he managed some epic-level Time Management and found a way to make it all happen. Now, he still keeps the important things in life first, but he continues to attend to his public passion- Puresim.

Glad to hear it, I am one of the dispossessed OOTP'ers that doesn't care too much for OOTP6/7/8. I always liked PS but PS did not translate well to Deadball baseball, my favorite period. Now that PS has added the sliders for HR's etc and the option to turn off closers deadball baseball is now doable in PS. Also the addition of game strategy choices from the main game screen has made PS much more attractive for me.

I have noticed that deadball period errors are still way too low. Has there been any talk of addressing that facet of the game??

I don't have the 2008 MLB calendar in front of me, but I'll take the Monday before the All-Star Game.

I certainly won't complain if it's earlier. My plastic is ready.
