i have an other question for this scenario.Tom, you`ve set SS Units in the game(LAH or DR)
These units are black.You have make a regime "SS" with black units.Than you set a hex with this regime,generate a unit and give a name example 3.SS mot.Now you set the hex to axis regime back.(Right ?)
But how i can make this in the game ? Normal way does not.Perhaps with a action card ?
I want generate german corps and SS corps or SU Armies and guards.

Looked at myself:

I think Tom set different people to fight for the axis:
Germans, Axis Minors, Fins and SS.
All in peoplegroup AXIS.
The have different values combat related fighting for the axis (axis minors are weaker, SS is stronger)

Imho the reason that Tom set regimes for them is that he could specify different colors here and tell the
people which regime color to use. And he was able to specify standard unit names.

And all the people (fins, SS, germans and german minors) are fighting for Axis. But due to Toms trick they can use different colors to do this.

I´m not a editor specialist, but that way i understood it. Tom can answer much better.

edit: When you create units on german terrain you simply set the people to SS and you get the black colored units.

Nein mein Lieber,so gehts nicht :-))Im Spiel kannst du das nicht ändern.Das muss man vorher festlegen.Untereinheiten verändern die Farbe eines Sprites nicht.

In WaW you had simply to overweight SS units in a unit and it turned into black color.
Overweight sft´s with SS people. For russia in WaW it was the same with siberians.
Overweight them in a unit and the unit color will change to white.
I bet it´s the same in GPW.

Btw, in the editor i tried myself to define a new SS unit (black color) in GPW and it worked as expected.

I understand.Organizes one a city a third People variable to SS. And arrange was an additional regime

Tom,
Did u release a patch version of this?
for those interested BxB changed the mod to not allow factories to be built as a stopgap until tom does an update.
Currently I feel that the Germans are doing ok in the center, turn four and ran over Minsk, great in the North where I used early surprise and over ran Lenningrad Factory and recruiting dept forcing a major commitment of troops there, and poorly in the south where those darned Rommanians are.. just took Odessa in turn for  lots of first timer errors, not consoliting the horses and more quickly modilizing htei nfantry groups, stuff like that..

Just posted V3 on the scenario bank.  Thanks for all the feedback.  Key changes include:

- Fixed conscript and worker battalion R&D glitch
- Set up Brest as a Fortress. 
- Made it impossible to build factory, resource, and fortress location types.  Also made it impossible to destroy fortress types.  You can still build fortications.
- Added an new land type so that swamps will freeze in the winter and become light forest during mud (so you do not get 2x mud penalty).
- Added a variation where both Soviet and / or the German production can be raised by 10%
- Added a recruit depot in each Soviet sector.  Added a factory in the Center and South.
- Made a couple of other minor tweaks.

I did not save with the labels on. I personally like them off. If you want to turn on, go into editor - settings - and you can turn them on.

I agree about the swamps freezing - does this become light forest or clear - but why in heavy rains would a swamp be better than open ground?

Minor Bugs:

-5th + 6th soviet reserve army hq have 20 german staff and 1 german truck each.
-Central soviet factory has only 50% of its production set. They produce with 50% a medium tank and with 0% a flak. So they waste 1000 production points during the first soviet turn.

GPW readiness bug?

Hi - I'm playing the western front (central) of the Soviet side in a multiplayer GPW game. I've provided good supply to my troops for all of the first 3 turns. However none of my troops has a readiness higher than 70% and most are around 50% readiness even though they have not been attached to a different HQ or strategic transferred or had units transferred into them.

We are playing v2 of the game.

xBoronx is playing v3 and not seeing this problem. Here are some screenshots to illustrate the problem. Is there any explanation for why my Soviet troops would still all have low readiness in v2 of the game on turn 3 despite good supply?

During the blitz turns for the Soviets and the extreme winter turns for the Germans, there is a random chance that each unit will have a readiness reduction.  This should be driving what you are seeing and should clear up by turn 5/6.  Is every single unit in the center impacted and absolutely no units in the South impacted?  If that was the case, I would have to dig in further.

I am pretty sure that all the units in the Soviet north are similarly affected.

Found a glitch. Clear weather only changes movement types 0-5, but the other weather events also movement type 7 (land transfer) and 9 (supply). So once 1941 the good weather is over you always suffer from reduced supply and land transfer. And since mud period is after the winter you should suffer the whole summer 42 from the reduced mud supply.

I upload v5 to the scenario bank.  This fixes the weather glitch and the NKVD troop NKVD people.  Thanks again for all the catches.

FYI - we decided in the end that the readiness problem I mentioned above was due to the random soviet readiness hit and also to me not overproducing supply
