Maps of older versions in CCMT

The game seems to take older maps as they are, as long as they are square. Made some experiments with CC3 Arnhem map, it creates a scenario which loads and does not crash.
Could it be that import of the old maps is so easy, or are there some problems I do not know?

At the same time, Road to Baghdad maps do not work even if they are square.

Any square map should work

Using Mafi's tools any out of square map can be made square. (with Black "out of Bounds" border)

Any cc5 will be coded correctly!

CC3/Cc4 maps will have wrong coding but can be converted using Mafi's Tools

Is there a chance to convert Road to Baghdad maps? There are some that are not in game yet, like the palace and blown bridge map. Conversion of RtB to CCMT is another possible mod with ready missions (that just need to be converted to CCMT).

The problem seems to be different elements files used for those two games, or just different formats?

A quick recode using 5cc and the MTElements from that ccmt_mapEdit package should see you up and running with the RTB maps.

3 step program (for any existing CC series map)

1. Make the map square using cc2tools

2. convert coding to CCMT format using Cc2tools

and/or

3. Tidy up coding using 5CC
