Why PureSim is My Favorite Baseball Game

So, I decided to try the demo of another game (no names mentioned). That lasted all of maybe ten minutes. That's all I'm gonna say about it.

I can characterize the appeal of PS in two words: elegant simplicity. This is not to say that the game's inner workings are simple. Far from it. However, one can be into an association setup within a matter of minutes, without having to study the manual as if preparing for an exam.

The ratings concepts take a bit of getting used to, but once you understand the inuititive nature of these, it all falls into place.

For me in particular, the wonderful player-created add-ons and add-ins (parks, faces, logos, utilities, stat charts etc), plus being instructed in how to add your own music, was the final part in reeling me in for the long run.

A newcomer should take a look at the Locker reports for examples of the game's incredible flexibility and immersiveness.

I write this not to preach to the choir, but to give newcomers an idea of what they have to look forward to. I hope others will add to this theme.

I can attest to KG's experiences. I too have tried others and I keep returning here. I am also looking forward to the "New" PureSim...whoops DraftDaySports: Baseball
