Movement Anomaly

Post by RocketMan »

The screenshot below shows the situation at the end of the orders phase. The two squads of the highlighted mortar platoon have just unloaded from the two halftracks and have been ordered to rush to the patch of trees.

Image

The next screenshot shows what happened as soon as I executed the turn. The two squads slid down and to the left into the positions shown, with one of the squads completely off the map.

Image

The final screenshot shows the squad that was slid off the screen reappearing back on the screen.

I tried to attach the save game file, but even zipped it is bigger than the 200k limit.

Good question Erik! I think it was 1.01f, but it might have been with 1.01d. It was definitely after I updated from 1.00 though.

Ok, please e-mail me the save file. That looks like pre-v1.01f behavior but I'd like to make sure.

After some additional checking, that game was played with 1.01d. Do you still need the save?

Try re-running it in v1.01f and see if it makes a diference. It should. If it still happens the same way though, then please send me the save.

Erik -

Id doesn't happen as bad in 1.01f, but one of the mortars (the one by the middle halftrack) still moves a little when the turn is executed. Unfortunately, that same mortar then gets stuck on the halftrack as described in One step forward and two steps back.

In 1.01g, the sliding when the turn was executed still occurred, but the mortar did not get stuck on the halftrack during the turn. There was a lot of sliding back and forth as the infantry avoided the halftrack though.
