The important thing Castor, is to institutionalize a yearly boys trip event [;)]
We've already been on 4 in 4 years - nothing like visiting pubs and WWII museums and battlegrounds for 3-4 days [8D]

The last War Christmas 1945-46

Post by PzB74 »

We're moving again, almost Xmas Eve 45 - the last in this war.
Should manage to finish the game this summer I hope. Not much left to do or prove really.

Defenses in Home Islands is all but ready, almost 100k supplies shipped to Shokoku and I doubt Andy will or can
mount Operation Olympic.

The Air Force is rebuilding well, will save my offensive potential for an opportune moment.
My TFD units contain an experienced core of pilots, then I add green pilots. In attacks on defended convoys it's mostly
green pilots that are shot down. In attacks against undefended shipping I send out only experienced pilots. See the example today when a handful Betties torpedoed 2 enemy transports north of Luzon.

More of the same, we ambush some 4Es over Iwo.
Otherwise I'm fairly happy with state of things.

This is the final countdown: 97 days to go.

I'm trying to repair the last surface ships:
1 destroyer, 1 cruiser, 1 seaplane tender and 2 battleships.

Assembling a major strategic reserve in China to be able to counter any Allied surprise attack there.

Not much to report, the game is puttering on without much heat.
Andy is committing more and more force into India - will he get Bombay before the war is over?

I think I need a break from WitP after this is over, been at it and UV for many years now.

Ah PzB what did we start???

Be very careful about stopping. As you may or may not know, I was forced to do so, all that meant is I had to find something else to do. Now there's another mouth to feed!!

Nice trip down memory lane though. You are a trooper that's for certain, although, I didn't take you for a MOG player, maybe you've a macro playing this game? Oh and writing up turns...

Wobbly!

How the heck are you? Good to see you around, and you've found other pursuits!
Herb had dropped me a line asking about you several months ago. Guess I'll let him know you're still kickin' around...
