I found a way to make flying tanks.
Start a new scenario and select a map with a hill.   Then place a tank platoon on top of the hill.  Then save the map.  Reload it and change the map to a flat one and save.   Running the scenaio the tanks will start out in the air.   They will seek ground level once ordered to move.

Any fix for those live tank commanders in dead tanks yet?

Reminds me of the attack on the wrecked radar in the scene from Saving Private Ryan. Those dead cows got a hammering! [:D]

I have flying tanks already in one of my scenarios without all that. They just started flying on their own. Much less work when they do it all by themselves.

Are you sure you didn't change maps after setting them up?
